Tenant Emergency Plans
JBG SMITH recommends that each tenant have an emergency action/evacuation plan in place to help their employees prepare for and react quickly to any emergency. This plan should include the appointment of trained floor wardens who know your organization’s emergency procedures and can help respond to emergencies.
Each tenant should include the following steps in their emergency planning process, and encourage their employees to do the same where appropriate.
-
Sign-up for emergency alerts.
-
Create a corporate emergency preparedness plan.
-
Create a personal response plan.
-
Practice and maintain plans
-
Purchase or make disaster supply kit.
-
Office kit to keep in a place for office staff to access easily and quickly.
-
Car kit to keep in the trunk of a car.
-
Personal Go kit to keep in the office and at home.
